CharacterName: Vincent Valentine
Canon: Final Fantasy VII
Canon Point/Location: Advent Children
Permissions: Lol
Age: Older than literally everyone else. (60)
History: Now I have time to sleep for 30 years.Personality: Vincent Valentine is aloof enough that even Cloud assumed he was a cold, uncaring person. Its really just that Vincent prefers to speak less and act more. Usually if he has something to say its important, generally some form of advice or complaint about being made to upgrade his phone.
His brooding isn't new, though his sense of guilt was born from past failures. Or at least what he deems as failures. He feels its safer to keep people at a distance due to not only his elongated life span but also due to the fact negative occurrences follow him like a plague on his house.
Despite the painful occurrences in his past he has shown a surprising level of forgiveness in response. After Hojo's death, he made comment on the man's tragic brilliance and has expressed similar regrets over Sephiroth, who had once been great as well.
Unfortunately, hearing him express anything means waiting for a long time for him to either answer his phone or make it into town to actually talk to anyone. He keeps to his privacy fiercely but comes when he's truly needed. Those close to him understand there's an underlying warmth that finds it's way to the surface from time to time.
It's a sad thing for the woman that chose the hideous man with disgusting morals as Vincent's loyalty is above and beyond. Unrequited love certainly left a mark but not quite the level of scarring as the six gunshots to the gut that left him for dead. Really, his unerring sense of morality despite considering himself a warped monster is what fuels much of his efforts in changing the broken world closer to what it should be.
Considering he believes its mostly his fault that any of this happened at all... There is a lot of work to be done, and he has the time to do so. Regrets and guilt have led him to focused, lonely life of trying to correct the mistakes made that led to a giant meteor crashing into the ground.
Anything else: Whatever else seems important..
